Licence Checking Of Your Concrete Contractor
Though you are 100% satisfied about the contractor whom your friend had recommended, you should only deal with a contractor who is currently licensed by the office of Fair Trading. Go to the NSW Office of Fair Trading website under Home Building Section:

Look up the contractor’s details yourself or call the Office of Fair Trading on 13 32 20. Their customer service officers will search the public register and provide you the details about the contractor. Inquire if there are any unresolved complaints with a given contractor.
- Choose one that has no record of complaints, or
- One where the complaint was resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Be aware that a new contractor or one that changed his legal name to dodge complaints may not have any record of complaints with NSW. So it is important to follow all of these steps.
