Driveway Replacement, Widening & Coloured Retaining Wall

We were contracted to replace the damaged old concrete driveway at a West Pymble property — around 78m² poured at 32MPa with SL82 reinforcing mesh. The job went well beyond a straight replacement: the driveway also needed widening, which meant excavating to build a new coloured concrete block retaining wall.

The site threw up a real challenge — embedded rock across the work area. A standard excavator couldn't get through it, so we brought in an excavator fitted with a hydraulic hammer to break the rock out properly before construction could proceed.

The customer was delighted with the finished work: a wider, stronger driveway supported by a proper structural wall, built on correctly prepared ground.
